A Smart Redesign that Balances Style and Substance
We reimagined this home through a series of small but strategic changes that made a dramatic impact. In the kitchen, a new waterfall granite island anchors the space, adding more functionality, and is positioned to take in the beautiful backyard views. White cabinetry and gold hardware now tie the kitchen and banquette together, while a modern herringbone backsplash and floating stainless-steel shelves bring visual interest and lightness.
In the living area, we replaced a half-wall and built-in TV closet with a bold, floor-to-ceiling tiled fireplace that unites the open-concept space. From TV nook to a functional home office, this space is complete with repurposed quartz from the old island and custom shelves to match the kitchen cabinetry. By reusing materials, improving flow, and matching existing hardwood, we achieved a seamless transformation, proof that even modest upgrades can make a home feel entirely new.
