Every successful project begins with a conversation. Your journey starts with a complimentary in-home consultation, where one of our experienced Project Coordinators visits you in your space, taking the time to understand your goals, budget, and timeline. From there, we’ll prepare a tailored Project Development Agreement that outlines the scope of work and budget range we’ll be exploring together in design. Once finalized, we begin the exciting first steps of bringing your vision to life.
Next, you’ll meet your dedicated design team, including architectural designer and selections coordinator, carefully chosen to match your project’s specific needsh. Together with your Project Coordinator, they’ll guide you through an in-depth exploration of your goals, preferences, and priorities. This collaborative stage is the first step towards putting your vision on paper. Our team crafts your preliminary design concepts and mood boards, thoughtfully shaped within the scope of your budget and timeline, and ensuring compliance with all zoning, engineering, and regulatory requirements.
With your preliminary drawings and budget in mind and a placeholder in construction, we’re ready to begin refining the vision. Here you’ll share what resonates and where adjustments are needed. Guided by your feedback, our team will develop detailed schematic and optional 3D drawings if desired. Each refinement will include an updated estimate as well, to ensure alignment of scope and approximate budget.
This is where our design-build process shines; balancing aesthetic goals with practical construction considerations and ensuring the design aligns beautifully with your vision and budget. At this stage we will also hold a trade review of the project, in which our team, together with our trusted trade partners, will walk through your home, review plans, and collaborate on key ideas to prevent surprises down the road. It is an invaluable component of the Amsted Advantage, and where people meet process for true value engineering.
With the details finalized, we’re ready to confirm the finall budget, drawings, and selections for your review and approval before we pass the baton from Design to Construction.
Before breaking any ground, our team meets internally over the course of 4 weeks, as well as hosting a Pre-Construction Meeting where you will meet your dedicated Project Manager and discuss logistics, communication protocols, and expectations.
Once construction is underway, you will meet with your dedicated Amsted team weekly to review progress, confirm any remaining selections, share updates, and gather feedback. This regular check-in ensures transparency, timely decision-making, and a smooth experience from start to finish. Our goal is to exceed your expectations, ensuring a project that is on time, on budget, where you’re happy, and that provides the the exceptional quality you expect from Amsted.
At project completion, we’ll walk through your new space together, ensuring you’re confident in how everything works and any required maintenance. But our partnership doesn’t end there.
