The Greater Ottawa Home Builders’ Association (GOHBA) Housing Design Awards are always a special night. A chance for our industry to come together, share a few laughs, and celebrate the incredible construction, renovation, and design work happening across our city. This year, our team had plenty to smile about.

We’re honoured to have brought home three awards – including Renovator of the Year, along with recognition for two standout renovation projects.

Each of our projects has its own story, and these two award-winners stand out to us because they reflect where the industry is headed. The renovation category win showcases how beauty and accessibility can coexist in a main-floor transformation. The basement renovation highlights the growing importance of creating additional dwelling units that are both functional and inviting.

Basement Renovation

What was once an underused basement is now a bright, self-contained suite, designed for multi-generational living with all the comforts of home.

A dated bungalow completely reimagined into a warm, accessible home where design and function meet in every thoughtful detail. With widened openings, flush thresholds, and an integrated ramp, this renovation proves that beauty and accessibility can fully coexist.

Renovator of the Year

Being named Renovator of the Year, for a record 12th time, is an incredible honour and a reflection of the people, process, and passion that define our team. This award recognizes more than craftsmanship; it celebrates the relationships, care, and collaboration that shape every renovation we take on.
