We transformed a long, narrow main bathroom into a fully considered space—without touching the footprint. A dedicated wet room, a custom arched niche, and materials chosen to bring the outdoors in created something that works as well as it looks.

We reorganized the bathing area into a fully waterproofed wet room, combining the freestanding soaker tub and a new walk-in shower within a single enclosure separated by a frameless glass partition. The rest of the bathroom stays clean, dry, and open. A picture window was enlarged to frame treetop views directly from the tub, grounding the space in the landscape outside and drawing natural light deep into the room.
Amaranto Grey porcelain tile runs floor to ceiling in large-format stacked tiles, its subtle veining creating a continuous, stone-like surface throughout. The custom arched niche, lined in Western Wood tile, anchors the bathing area as the room’s defining feature. A black walnut vanity, a concrete grey quartz countertop, champagne bronze fixtures, and globe-cluster brass sconces complete a palette that feels earthy, warm, and quietly refined. Heated floors run throughout, improving comfort year-round.
