Steve carries more than 35 years of hard-earned experience and history with Amsted, and even in retirement, he’s still a familiar face and a proud cheerleader for the team. These days, his favourite part is watching others succeed and seeing the company continue to grow on the foundation he helped build. His go-to advice for any custom home or renovation is simple: plan, plan, plan—don’t start construction until every detail is worked out.

At home, Steve’s happiest place is in the backyard by the BBQ, watching family and friends enjoy the pool. He’s the first to lend a hand to family, friends, and the community whenever he can. He feels blessed to spend his days with people he cares deeply about (who, he notes, still laugh at his dad jokes—at least sometimes).
