Celebrating 35 Years with 35 Charitable Acts
It can not be said enough that Amsted would not be where we are today without the support of our incredible team members, valued trade partners, and cherished clients. From Ottawa to Brockville, and everywhere in between, homeowners in these communities have given us 35 great years. At the start of 2024 we pledged to take part in 35 charitable acts, one for ever year in business. This was our chance for us to give back, bigger than ever before!
Here’s a look at what we’ve accomplished so far:
January: Our Holiday Staff Party Games were donated to the Boys & Girls Club and collections were sent to the Brockville Cooperative Care Centre.
February: By partnering with a local small business, Maker House, 2% of our Client Celebration Gift Baskets proceeds go to Camp Smitty.
March: Amsted is a proud Community Sponsor for the Ottawa 67s.
April: The team participated in the Brockville Community Wide Clean-up by helping clean three parks in the area.
May: The team participated in the Ottawa Clean the Capital, Capenter Mark along with RCOverland participated in a Trail Clean up and built outdoor toilets, we help collect Food Bank donations with the Great Glebe Garage Sale, Project Manager Guy raised funds for Royal Ottawa by running in the Ottawa Race Weekend, we made a window donation to Habitat for Humanity ReStore, and we donated to the Boys & Girls Club Breakfast Social.
June: Along with our Partners at our Appreciation BBQ we collected donation the the Ottawa Food Bank, the Brockville office hosted a car wash to support the TISS Rugby Team, Home Care Coordinator Paul participated in Ride for Dad, Amsted sponsored the Ontario Speedway Karting Sponsorship, and later this month we will be sponsoring the Brockville Chamber of Commerce and Jason Blaine Golf Tournaments which are both raising funds for more great causes.
Also, we also have 4 ongoing initiatives that will be participating in all year long:
- Clothing Donations for Big Brother and Sisters
- Furniture Donations for Matthew House
- FAMSAC delivery by the Project Managers.
- Blood Drive Donations – Our goal is 35 donations for 35 years
This brings the tally to 21 acts! And with what we have planned for the rest of the year, we are well on our way to hitting our 35 for 35 goal.
