As the days get longer and temperatures begin to rise, we can’t help but dream about summer. And summer means construction season in Ottawa! What many people don’t realize is that this is also the perfect time to start planning for your renovation, with most projects taking 2-3 months to develop before construction even begins.
With that in mind, Steve Barkhouse, Amsted Co-Owner, appeared on CTV News at Noon on March 9th to talk about planning, and most importantly, allowing for flexibility as you consider your renovation.
The first segment showcased a spectacular bungalow transformation, in which we encountered an unforeseen circumstance that required an immediate change in plans. But through flexibility on everyone’s part, the project maintained all of the goals of the renovation, with an incredible end result. In the second segment, Steve demonstrated some great tools that we incorporate during our renovation planning, that help us mitigate these stressful surprises later on.
