Summer is coming! We’ve just had our best week of the year, and I’m sure we’re not the only ones who took advantage of some time in the sun. If you’re still longing to get outside, one of the best ways to make the most of our short Canadian summers is to create your own outdoor living space, like a unique outdoor living area we created and that President Steve Barkhouse highlighted in our most recent CTV appearance.
Many consider outdoor living spaces as an afterthought in their renovating process. But thoughtfully creating an integrated space will allow you to relax and enjoy the outdoors more than ever before.
This beautiful and stately home in Carp came with a garage that was fully tucked into the basement. The owners needed more space and wanted a mudroom off the garage, among other things.
The thoughtful design we came up with created a standalone garage in keeping with the home’s style, while bridging the home and the garage with a handy go-between mudroom topped with an inviting outdoor deck lounge.
