The start of a new year represents many things to many people. On January 12th, Amsted Design-Build President Steve Barkhouse joined Leanne Cusack on CTV News at Noon to discuss how this can affect our homes this winter.
For many, the start of the year represents a clean slate – the chance to try something new. This first segment walked through Amsted’s newest “Living Room” Client Center; an office on Springfield Road that was transformed into a warm, inviting and unique space by using common building materials in unique and innovative ways.
For others, the start of the year indicates the true beginning of winter – snowy, icy, Ottawa winter. The second segment answered viewer questions on clearing snow and ice properly and safely from unwanted areas of the home, helping to avoid a host of problems winter weather can bring about.
