It is an honour to be recognized by the industry for our projects, as we were at the recent Housing Design Awards hosted by the Greater Ottawa Home Builders’ Association. That recognition has even more meaning as, facing some stiff competition, we were once again named the Renovator of the Year.
Winning this award is a true honour, because it speaks to the core of who we are as a company. And the fact that we have now won the Renovator of the Year a record 7 times – including 3 times in the past 4 years – is a reflection of the high standards we live by.
It’s not in our nature to toot our own horn, but this is an accomplishment worth noting!
The Renovator of the Year award is determined by blind judging, meaning the judges, who come from similar builders’ associations across the country, do not know the names of the companies they are judging and must rely solely on the detailed question-and-answer submission documents, along with client testimonials.
We were grilled on things like what services set us apart from other renovators, how we deal with challenges, how we’re environmentally conscious, how do we stay innovative, how do we guide a client through a renovation project, how do we take care of our staff and what’s our community involvement. All of these are areas that are key to us, making answering them a simple process.
We take pride in being easy to work with, in paying meticulous attention to detail at every step of the renovation process, in ensuring client satisfaction, reassurance and faith in our abilities, in standing behind our team and our work and in giving back in many ways.
We think it says a lot that we are a seven-time Guildmaster, which recognizes customer service leadership for achieving a 100% recommendation rate in a third-party survey of past clients. That would not happen without doing our job exceptionally well.
That attitude also helped us to be the first company recognized twice as the Renovator of the Year at the provincial level, in back-to-back years at the Ontario Home Builders’ Association Awards of Distinction.
Our in-house team of professionals, proven process and highly personalized service all add up to excellent customer satisfaction.
But as an old saying goes, “What you say about yourself is a claim. What others say about you is fact.” As a renovator, we are given the responsibility of taking something that has been causing grief to a family, often for years, and turning it into something functional and beautiful. It is our belief that a successful renovation is defined not by the transformation of a home, but by the transformation to a family’s lives.
Therefore, we’ll end this post by letting a past client speak to their experience: “In the end, Amsted delivered more than a renovated house, they delivered an improved quality of life for our family.
