About the Position

As a Construction Technician at Amsted, you will actively participate in the success of high-end residential custom construction projects – renovations, additions and new builds. Our Technicians are responsible for performing any labour i.e. demolition, carpentry, footings, framing, trim, clean-up, etc. required to successfully complete the project as directed by the Project Manager.

What you will need:

• Excellent understanding of rough and finish carpentry methods and techniques
• Quality and precision in framing and laying of foundations
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical trades
• Attention to detail and strong organization
• Excellent communication skills, our Technicians are great at dealing with our clients and working in their homes
• Ability to balance production to meet deadlines and stay on schedule
• Comfortable dealing with the challenges of working in an environment where our clients may be living in their home during the project
• A positive attitude
• The ability to interact well with peers, trade contractors and clients
• Have and maintain a valid driver’s license and a good driving record
• Vehicle that is dependable and suited for the position – pick-up truck or van, fully insured
• Your own set of tools
